Part 3 of the Swartz collection is now open for bidding online, with more than 300 lots from a lifetime of collecting. The sale is heavy on dollhouses and miniatures: finished pieces, unbuilt Rolife and Greenleaf kits, Petite Princess furniture, lighting and wiring, and boxes of accessories that any miniaturist will want to look through. There is also a large offering of glassware and crystal, with Fenton, Duncan & Miller, Northwood carnival glass, Mikasa, and pink Depression glass. The china and pottery includes Roseville, Abingdon, Aynsley, Royal Albert, Lenox, Capodimonte, and Hummel pieces, along with a collection of porcelain, crystal, and art glass table bells.

Holiday collectors will find musical carousels from Mr. Christmas, Thomas Kinkade, and Dept. 56, plus Dept. 56 and Lemax village pieces, Hallmark ornaments, and animated displays. The sale also includes vintage tin wind-up toys from Wolverine, Marx, and Baldwin, mid-century Mattel and Ideal dolls, Beanie Babies, board games, stained glass supplies, cross-stitch and needlework kits, table linens, silverplate flatware, kitchenware, books, and ephemera. Bidding closes Tuesday, October 13, at 5:00 PM, and pickup is Thursday, October 15, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at 124 Primrose Lane, Fremont, Ohio.

TWO DIESEL WORK TRUCKS AND LAWN EQUIPMENT – ONLINE ONLY AUCTION

Two diesel trucks and a run of lawn equipment sell to the highest bidder in this online-only auction.

Headlining the sale is a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 6500HD crew cab 4x4 with a steel flatbed, showing just 79,264 miles. It has the Duramax diesel, dual rear wheels, a 175-inch wheelbase, a 2-5/16-inch gooseneck ball, a headache rack, and four underbody toolboxes. It has had a recent alignment, new rear bushings, and the tires have only about 5,000 miles on them.

Right behind it is a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali crew cab 4x4 with the 6.6L Duramax and Allison 6-speed, showing 153,583 miles. It has a B&W Turnover gooseneck ball, an integrated brake controller, heated and cooled leather, navigation, and Bose audio. All 8 glow plugs were recently replaced.

Rounding out the sale is an International Harvester Cub Cadet 1650 Hydrostatic with a 50A mower deck, a Craftsman poly dump cart, a 36-inch steel lawn roller, a Rural King 15-gallon 12-volt spot sprayer, and a Craftsman 44-inch tow-behind lawn sweeper.

Eleanor Freese Estate Online Auction

The Estate of Eleanor L. Freese is now open for online bidding, with nearly 700 lots from a well-kept Arcanum home (Darke County Probate #25-395-6023). Furniture lovers will find antique quartersawn tiger oak Arts & Crafts pieces, a golden oak roll top desk, a walnut plantation secretary, Victorian parlor tables, mid-century Lane walnut tables, and a Play Master pool table. The glassware offering is deep, led by a large Fenton collection that includes cranberry opalescent hobnail lamps, Silver Crest, and Dusty Rose. Alongside it is plenty of milk glass, Depression glass, Fostoria, and L.E. Smith. Kitchen collectors will want to look through the Pyrex Butterprint, Fire-King Jadeite, Wagner Ware and Favorite Piqua Ware cast iron, stoneware crocks, and enamelware.

The sale also includes more than a dozen hand-pieced quilts, 18K and 14K gold rings and vintage watches, Arcade cast iron and Marx tin litho toys, Steiff, Big Little Books, and a large selection of vintage Christmas décor. Local collectors will find advertising from White Star Oil Co. of Eaton, Arcanum Federal, and MoorMan’s Feed, plus Darke County plat books and Greenville yearbooks. Rounding it out are clocks, oil paintings, tools, a Honda ES6500 generator, and household goods.
